Men's Hydration Systems to Use When Camping

This is the CamelBak Men's Classic 2.1-Liter Hydration Pack. The style is built larger than the CamelBak Charm 50-Ounce Hydration Pack featured in my previous blog. Although it claims to be for men only, women have used this hydration system as well. This system is popular among runners and cyclists however I would also recommend this product for campers as well. When camping, staying hydrated is extremely important in warm or cold conditions. This nifty pack will go with you on those short day hikes as well. This hydration pack features a comfortable design, external zip pocket, a low-profile fit, Omega reservoir which keeps liquids cool for hours, and a two year warranty. It's easy to fill and keeps your hands free to enjoy the outdoors while camping.

Using Hydration Packs When Camping

Keeping yourself hydrated when camping is very important in both warm and cold weather camping. One modern day convenience to help with this is a hydration pack. There are many different styles to choose from. The CamelBak Charm 50-Ounce Hydration Pack (pictured left) is compact, lightweight and can be carried on your back leaving your hands free to do whatever. It features an external fill reservoir which makes filling it very easy, contains a stash pocket, its shorter pack profile fits well on smaller torsos which makes it ideal for women and has reflectivity. This hydration pack would work well on a short day hiking trip and could even be used at home when walking. Camelbak has been a leader in making hydration products since 1989.

Your Tent Lighting Problems Solved!

Flashlights just don't cut it when it comes to lighting a tent. I have relied on flashlights exclusively to illuminate my tent until I came across this Coleman Tent Light. This nifty light attaches to your tent poles through a magnet so you don't have to worry about your tent fabric tearing. It's a powerful light and runs on AA batteries. It works well for reading , playing games, doing crossword puzzles, etc. Because it hangs on your tent poles, you don't have to worry about knocking it over as you make your way about your tent. The bulb of the light is replaceable as well. It's very affordable and made by Coleman, a trusted name in camping equipment.

Rain Gear is Very Important When Camping

I have recently (within the last two years) invested in some rain gear to take with me camping. And I can't tell you how much happier I have been since I made this decision. I fought with myself about paying the money when I didn't know how much I would really use it. This was foolish, because I can't tell you how many times I planned a trip in the great outdoors and it would rain. All I had for protection was a poncho. The poncho did a nice job keeping my body dry except for the lower part of my body. It always ended up wet and I ended up miserable. Since investing in some rain gear, I haven't had that problem. Also, I started putting rubbers over my feet to keep them dry. Sometimes I put a poncho over my rain suit for added protection and warmth.

There are rains suits available for men, women and children. A little rain doesn't have to ruin your time in the outdoors!
